Late November was quite the whirlwind! While the States were celebrating Thanksgiving, I went to Australia for my third #FWD conference put on by Australian Progress. Per usual, the NationBuilder Australia Community left me in awe of the power of people to organize and change the world. After soaking up incredible campaign knowledge from folks like Andrew Burns from Jacinda Ardern’s campaign and Santiago Bell-Bradford from Momentum, I returned from the journey a better organizer than when I began. It was a powerful experience, both at the conference and beyond.
During the trip, our Australia-based Sales Director Joe Raphael and I hosted two NationBuilder Cities community meetups — filled with good people, decent drinks, and great conversation. In Sydney and Melbourne, NationBuilder users with a wide variety of experience showed up and shared the ways they use our software to lead their communities in creating change. The purpose of NationBuilder city chapters is two-fold: for leaders across sectors to come together to 1) form relationships with one another and 2) help people better understand NationBuilder, both as a tool and as a community of leaders. I am beyond excited about the power of our city chapters to take NationBuilder to the next level. I believe that face-to-face, human connection is the most powerful tool we have and I am excited to build this next phase of NationBuilder with you all in person, IRL (in real life!).
We want to know what you need from your local chapter community— training, a place for conversation, inspiring talks— let us know and let’s build it together.
Thanks for welcoming me to your beautiful country. I’ll be back soon!
